1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using any services provided by Globetrot Logistics Limited (“we”, “our”, or “us”), including transportation, freight forwarding, customs clearance, warehousing, or any related logistics solutions, you (“the Client”, “Customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Services Offered
Globetrot Logistics Limited offers the following services:
Local and international freight forwarding
Sea, air, and road cargo transportation
Multimodal shipping solutions
Customs clearance and brokerage
Warehousing and inventory management
Express courier and last-mile delivery
Services are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued without prior notice.
3. Quotations and Pricing
All quotations are provided based on current tariffs, rates, fuel costs, taxes, and exchange rates.
Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise specified.
Final charges may vary based on actual weight, volume, customs duties, or unforeseen circumstances.
Globetrot Logistics Limited reserves the right to revise pricing without notice for services not yet contracted.
5. Payment Terms
Full payment is required before cargo is released or delivered unless credit terms are pre-approved in writing.
Overdue accounts will attract interest at a rate of 2% per month.
Globetrot Logistics Limited reserves the right to withhold shipments or services due to outstanding payments.
5. Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to:
Provide accurate information regarding goods including value, weight, dimensions, classification, and legal status.
Ensure proper packaging and labeling of cargo.
Comply with all applicable export/import regulations.
Cover any additional costs arising from incorrect or incomplete documentation.
6. Liability and Insurance
Globetrot Logistics Limited is not liable for any loss, delay, or damage unless caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
Liability for loss or damage is limited to the lesser of:
USD 100 per shipment, or
USD 2 per kilogram of affected goods
Clients are advised to purchase insurance for full cargo value. Insurance is only arranged upon written request and confirmed payment.
7. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for delays or failure in performance due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
Natural disasters
Government restrictions
Labor strikes
War or civil unrest
Customs delays or port congestion
8. Dangerous or Prohibited Goods
Dangerous goods must be declared and properly packed in accordance with international regulations.
Prohibited items (e.g., firearms, narcotics, counterfeit goods) are not accepted.
Undeclared dangerous goods may result in service cancellation, legal liability, or cargo seizure.
9. Customs and Regulatory Compliance
The client remains solely responsible for all customs duties, taxes, permits, and regulatory compliance.
Globetrot Logistics Limited may act as an agent to facilitate clearance but does not assume liability for customs delays or penalties.
10. Claims and Complaints
Claims for loss, damage, or delay must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery (or expected delivery).
Supporting documents such as delivery notes, invoices, and photos may be required.
Claims will be reviewed within 14 business days of submission.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Nairobi.
12. Amendments
Globetrot Logistics Limited reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and will become effective immediately upon publication.
